The Musée de la Gaspésie is currently searching for a scanning clerk as part of the project "Development of the archives of the Robin, Jones and Whitman company" funded by Library and Archives Canada. TASKSSONY DSC Under the supervision of the archivist, the scanning clerk will be in charge of:
  • Scanning all archival materials targeted in the project;
  • Handling historical documents carefully;
  • Ensuring the quality of the digital reproductions;
  • Assembling the files in Adobe Acrobat Professional;
  • Collaborating with the archival technician.
STUDIES Have a high school diploma or be in the process of completing it.   QUALITIES Thoroughness and rigor Basic computer knowledge WORKING CONDITIONS Start date: As soon as possible Contract length: 16 weeks Minimum wage ($ 10.55 / hour) Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8h30am to 12pm and from 13pm to 16h30pm   CONTACT AND INFORMATION Candidates are invited to submit their resume by email with the subject line "Scanning clerk- YOUR NAME".
